I live in North Wales on a reasonably large island that is serviced by two bridges. Last October one of the bridges was closed immediately for safety reasons, causing chaos with traffic between the mainland and the island for a period of months.
This inspired this tune about communication in general...of all kinds. Never lose touch with what's important.

The Bridge (Y Fenai)

If the chain breaks will you fall to the sea, to the sea?
If the lines fail will you talk, talk to me, to me?

Gwrandwch ar y clychau sy’n canu yn y gwynt
A’r cychos sy’n hwylio dan y bont
Ar y Fenai
Ar y Fenai
Ar y Fenai

If the wind blows will you sail ‘cross the sea, ‘cross the sea?
When the night comes will you lie close to me, close to me?

Gwrandwch ar y clychau sy’n canu yn y gwynt
A’r cychos sy’n hwylio dan y bont
Ar y Fenai
Ar y Fenai
Ar y Fenai

Cleverly constructed song @Welsh Steve with a haunting melody. That loopy bass riff is lovely. It's got quite a mystic feel to it and reminds me of some 70's prog rock stuff - Good tune

  Hi @Welsh Steve

A quick by the by but I did a double take at your Soundcloud photo because it looks a lot like my old setup.  8)

Those echoey guitars are sublime, especially with that trumpet(?) poking it's head round the corner - and the tinkling keys. The call - response works really well and the subdued nature of the mix gives the whole thing a dreamlike quality.  :)

Cheers
