So I’ve started on these very original lyrics. Don’t want to continue just yet as there’s something in the back of my mind bugging me. Maybe it’s a bit similar to a famous song before?  Don’t think so, but I’ll pause for now and see if anyone can help.

Anyway, here is where I am up to with this obviously moving  masterpiece:

No, doesn’t really remind me of any other song that I can think of  Can the second verse be about chips and gravy please ?

I can do chips and gravy as long as she’s in the navy and her hair is wavy.

But the main thing is that as nobody usually replies to lyrics threads, I’m aiming to get more than four replies to this topic.  Then it will be the most popular forum lyrics thread since almost ever? Mind, it’s such an original lyric I can well see how this would be a top fave.

…the thread that keeps on giving!  Definite record holder now! Sorry to all those with meaningful lyrics that never get commented on. But  I suggest you all start writing about pies more often, losers!
