So this track is influenced by Goldfrappe - particularly Strict Machine and ooh la la la - that bouncy octive bassline. Not entirely happy with my production on this, its pretty raw - the guitars a bit "sqwarky", but maybe it works.

Lyrically I was trying to do something different - a vague narrative based around a character - I was kind of thinking of the Bunny character in The Big Lebowski - a sex worker thats fallen in with the wrong crowd.

Take Me Home With You

She spilt the blood,
Them she took the money,
She thinks shes cool,
And she thinks shes funny.

Wired on the freeway,
And into the night,
The shadow of an angel,
Drifts out of sight.

Take me home with you,
Take me home with you,

Here comes the iceman,
And here comes the rain,
Its tearing her world apart,
All she wanted was her freedom
All she got was the pain,
Its so insane.

Take me home with you,
Take me home with you.

Well she knocked down a tequila,
Way down in LA,
Iceman showed her no mercy,
And just blew her away.

Take me home with you,
Take me home with you,

Take it....

Take me home with you,
Take me home with you.

It may come as a surprise being a rock n roll type but I really rate Goldfrappe. And yes, I hear the influence. You describe this as 70's disco rock and that's exactly what it is and I like it. It's very well crafted and it's also very catchy. Thumbs up from me :)

I thought the production was good. Catchy and very dance-able rhythm. I enjoyed the megaphone effect (or whatever it is). That's cool.

Massive Goldfrapp fan here (must have seen them 7 or 8 times live...) so I really dig the dirty electro-funk feel in this.  I thought the 'squawkiness' of the guitar worked really well actually.  Vocals sounded good but a bit of a muddy recording? Not sure if that's intentional, but I thought this could really rock with a crisper vocal take on top of it.  Anyway very much another vote winner in my book... I'm liking the way you're wearing your influences proudly but also taking them to new places.
It's all too beautiful.
