@jacksimmons
Lovely to hear your tunes again.
Great title.
Delicate and very you with the twists and turns.
Going to have to give the lyrics a thorough read too. There some great lines in there.
The simple acoustic arrangement absolutely the right choice.
And your vocals just top it all off wonderfully
So subtle

Hey Jack, nice song. Lovely to close your eyes to, lean back, and just enjoy the tune.

Flawlessly sung, nice lyrics and music. An octave to high for my taste though. But that's just my opinion.

Hi @jacksimmons,

this is superb. Reminds me of Simon and Garfunkel. Fantastic.

Hi Jack!
Another future classic! The lyrics takes new turns although the song and makes it impossible not to pay attention to every word. Few songwriter have that talent.
Angelic vocals, and melodies that go well together with the twists in the lyrics.

Sounds like Simon and Garfunkels "America" and Regina Spectors "Samson" lent some inspiration, but that's just my out of date references.

Always great to hear one of your new songs!

What an amazing voice. I love the precision you bring to it, which is heightened more by the really interesting chord sequences. They're really unexpected, interesting - but not jarring at all, it all knits together beautifully!

@Jack Simmons

A beautiful song with a feast of imagery underpinned by the lovely acoustic picking.  The lyrics are unexpected and that is what makes this stand out.

Another song with an abrupt ending that works. That's two in a row I've heard now. I could get to be a fan yet. I listened closely to your rhythms and noticed your prosody has improved. Nice work! I found the whole thing quite engaging--interesting lyrics, unexpected chord changes. Great!
