This is great @Maya Clars I think it has a more of a hard edged to it that some of your other stuff which I thought was very effective. You are an incredible talent and are able to knock out some top quality modern tunes - Bravo !

This sounds so contemporary and thoughtfully produced...it's right up there, if not better than the modern stuff I sometimes catch on the radio.

I wish that I could offer more of a considered opinion...but I'm probably 30+ years in advance of your target audience...but I really thought this was excellent.

Hey Maya, really liked this - the vocal melody in particular … the little lifts you give the tune, in (to me) unexpected places. Nice percussion too. Very contemporary and professional feel to it, and a good variety of vocal style during it.

Such a a brooding, foreboding piece of music. Your voice sounds fragile and weary, as though you have endured a prolonged trauma.

It sounds to me as though there's a very dark story being told here. A cautionary tale perhaps?

It sounds as though it's difficult for people to understand your feelings. It sounds lonely to me.

The sudden syncopated part in the middle gives the song a great twist, but it also plunges to a low in terms of the lyrics. "For you violence is normal" - is this a part of your past? It was very brave to write about it, if so.

The video works very well. I feel it brings out the lonely aspect of the music, to see you singing on your own in a large open space. I don't know if that's the effect you intended.
