Hi All,

Hope you're keeping well and looking forward to the next lockdown Christmas.

I dare say there are lots of songs called The River, but this is ours.  :D
Not sure if I overdid it with the reverb on the vocals. Shows up more during the verses, but I was looking for a slightly eerie feel.

Anyway, here it is warts and all.

Thanks for taking a listen and any feedback.

The River

We’ve only got now
Tomorrow’s all doubt
There’s no time
When I me mine is all

Don’t take for granted
The life you planted
If there’s the sun
There’s a new dawn; no

Why can’t you see
That time’s a thief?
It breaks you down
And it takes you whole
If you believe
The future’s peace
Well you’re a fool
Better take control

Don’t wait now
Till it all works out
It’s all weighed
On the river
Don’t wait now
Till it all works out
It’s all weighed
On the river

You only need how
Within and without
If you find
That this is mine is all

Don’t think it matters
The world you gather
When it’s all done
The King is pawn; so

Why can’t you see
That time’s a thief?
It breaks you down
And it takes you whole
If you believe
The future’s peace
Well you’re a fool
Better take control

Don’t wait now
Till it all works out
It’s all weighed
On the river
Don’t wait now
Till it all works out
It’s all weighed
On the river

Don’t wait now
Till it all works out
It’s all weighed
On the river
Don’t wait now
Till it all works out
It’s all weighed
On the river

Nice stuff @digger72 Love that thundering bass and grungy geetars. Great vocals and lovely use of space. Chorus is really catchy and singalong. Fabulous as ever :)

Hello, how good to hear you again!
I really liked the song, I don't think it has too much reverb, the atmosphere and the style of the track allow it perfectly.
Very extensive but catchy. Nice work both of you

I really like the bass
the voice reminds me of Siouxsie and the banshees
Nice track, I like the arrangement
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

And there you have it.

Very cool.

Reverb sounds spot-on to me…and suits the song perfectly.

Enjoyed this a lot…and the ending is splendid.

Always top quality from you two!

Hey @digger72 - threw this on a loop in the car on my way to work yesterday morning driving through fairly empty dark storm-blown and slightly flooded streets and it was a perfect soundtrack to match.

It's got your trademark lush production and moody darkness. Reverb and vox sound spot on to me. Katja is sounding fantastic (nothing new there)... some lovely touches like the riffs and aahs after the chorus... heavy beats and bass laying it on thick..Love the drop before that last booming chorus.

Magnifique! Quality stuff as always!
