"happy birthday to you"
might be the biggest song of all time, so I wanted to challenge it
"happy birthday" a song by Stevie wonder is a ridiculous song, it's an awful song, I wouldn't question Stevie's passion though.

I got distracted and eventually settled on writing a deathday song. A 180 degree turn about. I've a simple mind.
I probably missed the target but the result is a blast anyway.

Death never seems far away, I often think about, I think it's healthy to do so.

These here are the lyrics to the song. I don't know if they're finished.
I wanted to be more ambitious musically but as it is it's quite resonant. A short song, sounds a bit anthemic(?).
I'll push myself with the production.

rest in peace

rest now, rest in peace
the sun goes down most gracefully
lo' and behold, you know your place
now in time and here in space
there is no future, the past has closed on us
resounding echo from this empty cup

rest now, oh rest in peace
out of time, I'll just say goodnight
rest in peace

short on context the clocks will unwind
all expectations are left behind
loved and caressed through misspent youth
until no longer fit for ornament or use
down this one way street you ran your game
win or lose, y'know, it all ends the same

rest now, oh rest in peace
all out of time, I'll just say goodnight
rest in peace

rest in peace

It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

Don't eat the yellow snow

And there you have it.
