As to some peoples knowledge and perhaps displeasure I have posted many many lyrics on here but never recorded

Now I'm finally beginning to gain the confidence and lets face it, cash I need.
need advice on recording equipment as to be honest I haven't a scooby

I am only an acoustic guitarist so i don't need much I would imagine but any advice would be appreciated

Do you have anything at all, or are starting from the ground up?
Any kind of budget?
Recording only acoustic guitar, or acoustic guitar and vocals? Or more?

If your serious about getting quality recordings then even just vocals and an accoustic can
be relatively expensive i think. I am guessing that it would be all about the mic you use?
Plus you might want to add effects to vocals and the guitar and they cost.
I really think Ramshackles is the right man to be talking to on this one :)

I'd like to be able to say get this or that and your away but not knowing your budget it would be hard to say, my only thoughts are a decent mixer (the BR micro looks good) and a quality mic
(but then you'd need to convert this to wav  ???)  - I'd speak to Ramshackles :-\
