Hi all,

Wrote and recorded this song today:

https://soundcloud.com/jonathan-linton5/drop-the-bomb

LYRICS:

You know it’s a-comin’
An explosion
All of the numbin’
Won’t stop the implosion

Just a matter of time
Anticipation
Corroding mind
Waiting for the bomb to drop on you

One voice
One cry in the night
Drops the bomb on you
One choice
One will that you can’t fight
Drops the bomb
Drops the bomb on you

Every comin’ second
Could be that moment
Time to reckon
Time for atonement

So dilute the pain
‘least for the moment
Here it comes again
Waiting for the bomb to drop on you

One voice
One cry in the night
Drops the bomb on you
One choice
One will that you can’t fight
Drops the bomb
Drops the bomb on you

Hmm
The pressure on your mind
Building up
A pressure you confined
Destiny you defined
Out of your control
‘N’ waitin’ to unwind

Waitin’ to unwind
Waitin’ to unwind
Waitin’ to unwind

One voice
One cry in the night
Drops the bomb on you
One choice
One will that you can’t fight
Drops the bomb on you
Dark nights
That come into the light
Drops the bomb on you
Wildfire you helped to incite
Drops the bomb
Drops the bomb on you

Hola @jonlint

What a rhythm of work !!! you're a machine!!
I liked the song and the sound of the guitar too.
It is a strange song for its lyrics well resolved by the intention of your voice.
Maybe I would let the intro be a little longer before the voice comes out ,? Well, to suggest ...
I did not know that to live we had to die so many times

really riff!!
sounds like this song is in it's early stages
still it's cool like this

I really like the vocals too
axel Rosey.

i enjoyed the listen!
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

I loved the eastern feel to the vocals that open this.  (Put me in mind of Screaming Trees or Queens of the Stone Age).  Also those interesting floaty guitar chords in the middle 8 section - lovely.
Your vocals hold nothing back and sound really good.  It's pretty dense vocally - as great as they are, they never take a break... you could maybe have a middle section with an instrumental solo or something?  When 'the bomb' goes off...? So that the vocals sound even better when they come back in after a short break.  Just a suggestion if you want to revisit it.  But it's already a darn good track, really well produced and I love the hard-rock/acoustic/eastern mash up you've got going on here.
It's all too beautiful.

Hi Jon,

Have you heard of a band called The Tea Party? If not, check out the album Edges of Twilight. Might be your kind of thing based on this.
Your song sounds like a stripped down version of something they might do.
Slightly eastern, powerful vocal, driving rhythms.

Really cool song.

@jonlint
Lots to like here.
Acoustics sound powerful and then your powerful vocals come in. Through in some interesting chords.
Rocking performance, imagine it would sound great live with a band too

Man if I was a guy this'd be the voice I'd want. Love the backing vocals. Would love to hear some drums/bass to fill this out.
