The Demise.

Just felt like writing a lyric so here is a very dark piece, most unlike my normal writing.

All comments, critique etc welcomed. The name for this is not set in concrete.

VERSE
====

The darkening hits us once again,
we make our way to safety's cave
and close our eyes to hide the pain
block our ears to make us brave
huddled round our fiery grate
share the warmth of every soul
willing darkness to abate
then once again we leave our hole

CHORUS
======
The sky now studded with the stars
as they begin to glow
And then the full moon,
rises high to steal the show.
And like the moth we venture out
the moonlight leads the way
and there is one less of us
when sunlights marks the day

VERSE
=====
as days go by the numbers fall
'till only I remain,
my hand is forced I make the call
to move before I'm slain
another group at last I find
solace in numbers strong
bound together with their kind
their cave is deep and long

REPEAT CHORUS

Some nice lines and atmosphere. I personally don't like the double use of "moon/moonlight" within the chorus, but that's just a personal thing.
