Here's another number from Cecile @Melusine2 and myself - This time it's a bit of an upbeat disco / dance vibe. Love working with all these different genres as usual. Hope that you enjoy  :)

Turn the throttle full
Gonna get real high
Far above the clouds
In the bright blue sky

You've got me flying supersonic
All your love is such a tonic
Heading fast in your direction
Want to feel all your affection

Travelling at the speed of sound
No time now for slowing down
Make the most of every day
Chasing all the blues away

Soar into the air
Floating on the breeze
I'm not looking down
Really there's no need

You've got me flying supersonic
All your love is such a tonic
Heading fast in your direction
Want to feel all your affection

Travelling at the speed of sound
No time now for slowing down
Make the most of every day
Chasing all the blues away

U guys sound GREAT together on this! How fun it must be for you both to have this modern day “Roxette” thing going on! (That’s a complement btw....I love Roxette!! U could start a tribute act.....”Box Set!??”😂🤦🏼‍♂️🤣🤷🏼‍♂️😜)

Anyway, yeah nice work as always. The mix is nicely glued together, I did notice literally  only ONE word each (different words) that sounded like it needed a slight nudge with Melodyne or whatever you use to tune vocals with? But hey, if u don’t tune vocals then that’s two great takes right there.🎶👍🏻🎶

Other than that, nice work guys and keep it up.🎶👊🏻🎶👊🏻🎶😄

Hi @pompeyjazz , @Melusine2  This is another excellent write from the ridiculously prolific and talented Mr Pompey who seems to have access to a bottomless well of musical ideas. The vocals compliment each other perfectly. Clever lyrics although some of the rhymes are a bit obvious but hey, it's a dance track! I do love your bass playing BTW.

Perhaps no surprise that I love the bass on this. A great vocal duet. It's a genre I've never attempted but that doesn't mean I don't like it. It's cheerful, up-beat and everything fits as it should. Great track - really enjoyed it :)

Lots to hear and love in here. Had the feel of an 80s disco anthem in places, a little bit of Heaven 17 sort of thing.
Production is great as usually, like the disco octaves in the bass when they come in and the contrast of your voices is ace. Super stuff.

Yeah, Saturday night under a plastic palm tree, where did those days go? Fabulous disco recreation, it makes you (or me) remember all that drunken boogieing and failed attempts at impressing the ladies. Very smooth sound and a moody duet too, totally convincing genre steal, took me right back - thank you guys for making me 21 again !

This reminds me of that David Byrne album
Here lies love
Such a classy album
John your voice, I just wonder how you got here with it
So many twists, so loaded with energy,
must have been a fun journey
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

Nile John Rodgers lol

Absolutely brilliant from the perfect duo...dreamy disco with a great groove...

I think the two of you sound quite magnificent together ❤️❤️

Great chorus...gets a bit Manchester trippy...quite unexpected 👏🏻

@pompeyjazz @Melusine2

Hi guys, great duet, works brilliantly with some really unexpected chord changes and a hooky chorus, what's not to like? You're genre conquest continues!

Nice one!

Thanks for this memories brought with your song. Very good listen.

Oddly enough your very different voices works extremely well together. Personally I would liked Ceciles vox a bit more up front in the mix, mostly so during the verses. The chorus is a real ear worm and overall the the production is great. My only attempt at constructive criticism would be the lack of dynamics. Yes, it is disco and I guess one should dance but those of us who don't would have appreciated some "softer" part 2/3 into it. A great team effort!

Silky smooth. Musically transports me bavk to the 80's era occupied by bands like 'Swing Out Sister'.  I think this is a musical key that suits @Melusine2 who features here at her very best. This is really worth noting for future collaborations. Cool chorus and a slick musocal backdrop!

Great feel to this one. Cracking bass part and a couple of brilliant chord changes too. Voices working great together once again.

Really enjoying this one as I type...what a team!

I could have sworn I commented on this... That bass is fab (I never comment on bass!! :) ) ... @Melusine2 vox is superb on this... sounds really strong and confident as such a lovely tone to her voice.. Some lovely synth / arpeggiator sounds in there too.. really well done I gotta say...

Duets are such fun!! :)

You two are fab together!
