Hi All,

Hope you are all well.

Here's another take on that rather brilliant song by @man made material (Good to see him in the Forum Faves)

Hope you like it, let me know what you think...

Thanks for listening,

Very avant-garde! Need to run this through the studio monitors when I get home from work.

Very nice mix of a great @man made material song . Kudos to you both for getting Suggs to sing it. I don`t want to get too technical but love the bits that go "diggly wiggly jarp jarp" . Very good work @cowparsleyman & well done again MMM for a cool song.  :)

@Thanks to all that took the time to comment, of course all the work was done by @man made material - I only did the diggly wiggly jarp jarp bits, with my throbulator (In fact there's all sorts of mangling going on, Eventide Flanger, Convology XT Reverse Reverb, other Reverse plugins, Eventide Microshift, SoundToys Phase, just a tad on some of the vocal snippets), there Brainworx subsynth driving the sub bass and IK Multimedia Syntronik doing one of the Seq lines, a Korg Poly M I think...I can't remember now but I wouldn't be surprised if there was either a Arturia Moog filter or the Soundtoys filterFreak 2 applied to some of the synth lines.

I didn't feel particularly comfy by adding the 808's and the seq in the early section as I liked the space in the original, but I wanted to have both tension (808's not present all the time) yet a heartbeat of tension (the poly M seq), also felt it needed a drop, with some bathroom verb, ot totally convinced by the verb, but it added some dimensional contrast.

A few of the original tracks were muted.

@5 guys named Lars - spot on man- I KNEW there was something. all the time I was working on it, I knew it reminded me of someone, it was Suggs, I didn't know he wore a lot of Man Made Material, maybe Bri Nylon Slacks, of those huge collared Tan Shirts....ooooooo.

@moraamarolaloba - Glad you like it.

@Unclenny - Cheers Man, how did it sound, wobbling yer woofers?

@pompeyjazz - Glad you like it Johnno

p.s. sorry I've not been around contributing too much of late, it should get better later in the year. Rich

@cowparsleyman  I’ve only just got over the mental scars of being reverse reverbed by that flanger!🥴😉

Actually, it got the strings in my Martin acoustic that was in its stand all excited.  8)

Love the deep wobbles, also the treatment of the vocals, dry and lots of nice space for it.

I like the dissonances that creep into the arrangement, all sound deliberate and add to that discomfort that pervaids the tracks.

Like this a lot.

Shit, there is some serious low end going on in the intro!!
Fab mood to the first verse before the drums(well, drum-ish) joins. Just LOVE how you the immediately remove them and then bring them back again. Really add dynamic and tension, this is a seriously good and incentive production, love it!
Top drawer stuff!

It's the guy who sang "You'll Always Find Me In The Kitchen At Parties" and "Stop the Cavalry".
