hee girl, let me slide away in your arms
I don't ever wanna be alone
You can set my mind at ease

Hee girl, you must be coming down from heaven
only you can twist and turn me around
and slowly take my heart away

do you wanna know what is this feeling inside us?
I'd never do something to hurt our love
couldn't even find a reason
And all this time we'd love

hee girl, let me get to know your language
and please borrow me your suede lips
I will carry them on mine

hee girl, your eyes can put a spell on me
your gentle touch is making me dizzy
you keep me coming back for more

do you wanna know what is this feeling inside us?
I'd never do something to hurt our love
couldn't even find a reason

do you wanna know what is this feeling inside us?
I'd never do something to hurt our love
couldn't even find a reason
And all this time we'd love

and something's becoming clear to me
We are living the dream
we'll announce this never-ending love for all the world to see

and all this time we'd love

@Veance  love that guitar! Not only the playing but the actual sound of it, just the perfect amount of reverb... the keys sit really well with it too, there’s a really nice melody here too! I think the vocal need something though, it’s maybe a bit far back in the mix and has a bit of a singing in a bathroom sound to it- there’s some really knowledgeable people here that can help you with that, because the song and your guitar deserve it! Good stuff!👍
Sound formed in a vacuum may seem a waste of time...

@Veance

Hi, nice vibe to this song. Great chords and the singing is also very good. EP sounds good in the mix, but the bass seems a little out of the mix. I also agree that the previous comment made about the sound of the singing is a little low in the mix and not quite sitting properly. There are more qualified people in the forum who could give some advice on these mixing points. Very good song!

Nice one

Cheers

Ah yess, I do agree on your comments. I recorded everything in my small office room at home. So maybe it's the acoustics?
I think I use a relatively good mic....but what can I say. Also the singing part at the end when I go highest, that was on the limit. Can't always get there.
I don't know if practice makes the voice go bit higher?

A nice track and I too especially like the electric piano. Great vocal and the performance and production are very nice too. I can't help but want to sing 'Won't You Stay Just A Little Bit Longer' to that riff! Enjoyable nonetheless. :)

@Veance Nice laid back vibe, I love the fender rhodes keys - It's a great melody too - I would have liked to have heard the vocals a bit more up front as they sound a bit "bathroom" like and you've got a great voice. Enjoyed the listen - Nice work

@pompeyjazz : thanks for sharing your thoughts on it. It does sound like bathroom. got a friend looking at my set up and it seems I use my mic in a wrong way. So when i have some time ill redo this

@Veance  Great pop vibe this one, very catchy and you have a great voice. I once had a similar "problem" with unwanted reverb, which was fixed my putting down a carpet and putting some absorbent foam in front of my mic!

I also love the sound of that guitar right at the top.

This song has a classic feel to it. I think it's the swinging rhythm......it got me smiling right off when the percussion kicked in.

I can't comment on the mix as I am not in the studio. Instead, I think I'll just enjoy another spin.

Hi @Veance
This is the first song of yours that I've reviewed - welcome to the forum :-) Others have commented on the audio quality of this so I'm not going to repeat it. In answer to your question about the voice - yes, the more you sing the more range you will have but don't force it, use your diaphragm to produce the power.
As for the song, well I thought it was pretty damned good. Catchy, rolled along nicely, interesting, well played and varied musical ideas. Your voice is great - I think it will record well once you've got your acoustics sorted. Basically you need to add sound absorbent material to wherever you are recording - carpets, cushions, curtains and maybe invest in a little vocal booth that sits around your microphone and cuts out the sound of the room. Reverb is necessary in recordings but you need to put in the right type on the right tracks to give the depth of sound you need and create a good sound scape.
Really enjoyed this track and I'm looking forward to hearing more.

Montydog seems to have spoken my mind
and articulated it better than I can

the song has a lot going for it
Did you play everything yourself?

Yes I did. Track by track.
it started 2 decades ago as a voice-and-acoustic-guitararrangement in front off a girl... ;). Didn't last, though. :)

Thanks Montydog. Although this isn't the first song I posted here. But that was 3 years ago already. :D
