Hey all!

Myself and @Jambrains have gone all mellow again ... and after my recent solo visit to harp territory, it’s made it on here too 😱😁! As always, an invigorating ride.

And also as always, we invite all comments and crits as we will surely tweak this!

Ten hours and counting
Till I see your sweet face
But will I feel your embrace?
Does the break mean we’re broken
With no hope of repair
Will anger linger in the air?

Have we gone too far
To find a way back?
We can’t change the past
But the future’s for the taking if we ask

Is the pill too bitter
Is the truth too hard to hear?
I owe you honesty
I want you badly
I’ll love you to the end
But I won’t lie I won’t pretend

Have we gone too far
To find a way back?
We can’t change the past
But the future’s for the taking if we ask

Eyes on the prize
What do you want from me
Take me as I am
I’m yours tonight

Have we gone too far
To find a way back?
We can’t change the past
But the future’s for the taking if we ask

This is an absolute cracker!!!

The recording, production and mixing is top notch and serves the song perfectly

Another vocal dripping in emotion, which makes ALL the difference for me

I have no negatives at all for this song - it is stellar from start to finish!!!!

@MonnoDB @Jambrains You two are on an absolute roll at the moment, knocking out a continuous stream of top quality songs. I love the mellow 3/4 vibe of this one. This one is particularly melodic and did I hear a harp again ?? I honestly can't fault it. It's another smash from you guys  :)

@MonnoDB @Jambrains Yes, a really great production supporting some excellent vocals. I really like the way the melody meanders, almost like it is searching for the right path, in a way that supports the lyrical message. Top notch, well done to you both,

Kevin

A beautiful piece. It reminds me of Kate Bush.

To me, it sounds slightly bittersweet - as though it contains both elements of pain and hope. Bitter pills and undying love. Not sure if that was the tone you had in mind, but I really liked it.

The melody is wonderful. It benefits from such a rich production. The harp adds a really magical touch.

I really hope you won't mind my saying, but I actually would have liked the song to last just a little longer. Please do take that as a compliment!

Wonderful meandering feel about this, lots of unexpected turns in the chords without sounding out of place at all.
You can go too far with weird chord changes, giving too much new stuff for the listener to take in. But if you keep it all the same it gets predictable. It's a delicate balance and I think you got it spot on!

The arrangement is great, vocals are yearning and the harmonies perfect.

Just a smashing listen. I agree with @bigFishAndTheSmallPondets would have gladly heard a bit more of it!

@MonnoDB  @Jambrains  another beautiful song with a swooning melody and a beautiful delicate distinctive vocal, there’s a really light touch with the BVs which works so well too. I really like the way the piano is treated as well... top notch!👌
Sound formed in a vacuum may seem a waste of time...

Lovely stuff...piano is great...vocals are stellar. Love the harp.

Rather than just gushing, again, I thought I'd try to find a couple of things that I might have liked to be slightly different...just for the practice

Maybe the drums were a little "generic rock drums" for my liking...maybe it was all those panned toms? Maybe it was me! Anyway, I'd have perhaps have preferred more gritty and amateur sounding drums...deeper and fatter too. And I thought the guitar stabs around 1:00 could have been a little cleaner-sounding and/or sharper...but I have been known to OD on guitar treble! That's all I could come up with...nowt, really...and I was trying really hard!

It's a great song...and the ending is really lovely too.

You're a magical combination.

What a lovely melody! The rhythm-guitar at 0:50 sounds awesome! Perfect synthesis of song melody and vocals.

Very nice love song. Well produced, played and sung. I only thought the chorus and the whole song could benefit from a man's voice or different voices.
Well done
