I'm going through an intensely creative period in my life.  I recently finished an album Called 'Let Your Umbrella Down' then along came two more in the last week: 'The Great Beyond' and then 'Would You Do The Same For Me?'

Both are songs about different family members.  This one is about my Dad, who passed away in 2005.  I wrote and produced it yesterday, I was trying to dwell on positive aspects of who he was.  Strangely I had the most insane and upsetting dream about an encounter with him last night. I haven't  experienced such dreams for years. Perhaps, I shouldn't ever write such songs again.

Would You Do The Same For Me?

Such a handsome man; chiselled features and physique.
Long ago, it must have been before life turned so bleak.

Master of the northern seas.
That’s where I set your spirit free.

Such a rugged look; danger written on your face.
so many thoughts I can’t forget, won’t ever be erased.

Master of the northern seas.
That’s where I set your spirit free.
Would you do the same for me?

Wrap me in your arms, protect me from the savagery.
Chances spurned may be regained but such complexity.

Master of the northern seas.
That’s where I set your spirit free.
Would you do the same for me?

Would you do the same for me?
Would you do the same for me?
