@ChrisPrice@adamfarr, @pompeyjazz,

I think that's everyone who attended the zoom meeting at the beginning when I mentioned the new Kontact software for acoustic guitar that I've just bought.  I intend to use it for songwriting.  This took about half an hour.  I just wanted to demo the amazing sound quality of the acoustic guitar.  Well worth the investment I'd say.

Well, my brief acoustic demo turned into a fully developed song sketch called:

The Great Beyond.

Some folk are blessed with so much love.
They smile despite the worst of times.
They carry goodness in their hearts.
If I could go back to the start, I would with you.

I took for granted everything.
Thought you’d always be around.
I should have given you the  world.
Missiles flew and flags unfurled.
Still, you were true.

Mother darling, will we meet again.
The wisdom of children like droplets of rain.
Hold me in your seaside arms again.

I pray that angels take you home,
where rainbows stretch across the sky.
Where mountains climb and sea birds fly,
where flowers grow and never die.
The great beyond.

Mother darling, will we meet again.
The wisdom of children like droplets of rain.
Hold me in your seaside arms again.

The great beyond.
The great beyond.
The great beyond.

Where will technology take us next. Extraordinary that this can be played on a keboard. It kind of gives guitarists the same creative options as a piianist/keyboard player, subject to their  familiarity with a keyboard.

@Wicked Deeds
Thanks for the info Paul. I just took a listen to your demo and it sounds great. As I said at the meeting, my acoustic playing isn't great - due to an old injury the fingers on my picking hand are a bit arthritic these days so I'm mostly a strummer. Not a problem for playing electric but very limiting on an acoustic. Something like this would certainly be a good tool for me. :)

@ChrisPrice, @Pompeyjazz,

The software  is a true asset to any writers tool box.  I developed ,my sketch into a song called The Great Beyond.  I guess it's in the correct section of the forum as a WIP.  Suggestions for development are welcome.
