Happy new year, everyone!

So, We've got a new song. This one is portuguese. I really hope you don't mind it. Just enjoy the song if possible. But to give you all a general idea of what the song is about I'll try to ''explain'' it in a few words:

This song is about a kind of a legend that tells a story of a man who turns into a killer, a hitman, to provide for his family. It consistantly happens accross northeast Brazil especially. Not in this romantic scene though. Hope you enjoy it.

Lyrics:

Me desculpe seu delegado
Pelo que vou lhe dizer
Estupidez e ignorância
Tenho pra dar e vender

A vida nem sempre foi fácil
Pelas bandas de lá vou eu
Quando o frio e o cansaço
Sobre mim se abateu

Uma missão me foi dada
E pelo patrão acordada
Eu venho de Aracajú
Pra matar uma boiada!

---///----///----///----

Quando a chuva se esgotou
Pelas bandas do meu sertão
A poeira levantou e ninguém teve compaixão

O cabo da enxada foi uma saída pontual
Mas o medo e a cachaça me marcaram pelo mal

O destino ia mudando
Passando de mão em mão
A frieza da pistola virou minha consolação

Se perguntares por onde andei
Mundo afora, noite adentro
Direi ao meu filho mais velho
Não faltou sofrimento

Não carrego mais no peito
Aquele ódio visceral
Pois matar virou rotina
Não me livro deste mal

O destino vai mudando
Passando de mão em mão
Mas continuo com a pistola pois é minha consolação

Vou tentar
Não vou resistir
Não vou controlar

Vou mudar
Pois viver assim
Outra vez não dá!

I love this. This is authentic music at it's finest......in any language.

When I think of Brazil I think "fusion" of many cultures and this is 100% that.
Love the sound of a Brazilian voice and the way you use percussion in a way that Europeans just wouldn't. Lots of traditional sounding elements here and lots of expressiveness in the vocal delivery.
The second half is more international territory and guitars sound really good - perhaps I'd like to hear some additional voices to fill out the sound and compete with the guitars (though I also like the "live" atmosphere too).
It's a very cool and unique song.

Such an interesting intro with percussion and vocal.  I love those rich chords that introduce the musical beginning of the song.  Your vocal performance is really strong and the acoustic guitar is quite cool too.  So many great  ideas here that I would like to hear combined to greater compliment each other.  The electric guitar buries the drums and that's a great shame as this one could really fly wiht the right production.

I really enjoyed listening.

Thank you guys very much for taking the time to listen to my song. I was a bit afraid about the reception you know, a portuguese song and all that. But I'm glad you could enjoy some of it.

Hi there. Really interesting track. Because I couldn’t follow the lyrics it really made me focus on the sounds of the words and melody and how it makes me feel, rather than the content of the lyrics themselves - and overall this felt like it has real emotional impact. Great guitar playing throughout,  but to me the mix sounds so much better in the first half of the song vs when the heavier electric guitars come in.. I think if you can brighten up the drum sound and bring it up more in the mix during the heavier section this could really help that part of the song. Overall though an adventurous and original piece of songwriting with some great moments in it

Hi, interesting listen. The acoustic guitars sound good in the first half of the song, but it rocks when the electric guitars come in. Unfortunately the drums get a bit lost in the mix in the latter part of the song.

Nice one
