An incredible insight. One of the best bands from that period. Those guys really could sing and play. :)

Graham Nash - one of my fav singers - what a range!
I'll never forgive my older brother for losing my Hollies greatest hits album at a party.
Actually I did end up forgiving him - but it wasn't easy! :D

Soooooo interesting to listen to the section where just the vocal was being done.  You don't really get a sense of how vocally difficult this is until you hear the vocal without the instruments.  What a voice.  Also, on the finished album, the vocal (as heard here) isn't quite the same.  Beautiful song.  I used to listen to this song and "Bus Stop" over and over.
