Great thread!
And great choices!
Here are my top three
3) To serve them all my days...an unusual one...but my mam and dad would always watch this on a Sunday evening...and loved it. It always reminds me of home.
2) Just Good Friends...I loved this at first...not just for Jan Francis. The show went on way too long and turned to shite...but that's success for you
I couldn't find the end theme on it's own...so you can watch the whole of the opening episode if you like...but the end theme at 25:20 is lovely.
1) The Sweeney. Harry South. Two for the price of one. My band comes on stage to this...and throws the towel in to it too. It's also a masterclass in arrangement...because it starts off big and bold with fists flying as though they really mean business...which they did...but by the time the end comes round...the same tune plays in a totally different way that leaves you realising that you might win a lot of battles, but, ultimately, it's a losing game...
