I really like song breakdown videos, they are a great chance to learn how things are done. I posted the Bad Guy breakdown which was really excellent but the Netflix Song Exploder series I thought was nowhere near good enough.
So how is it I didn't know about Rick Beato's series 'What Makes This Song Great?'. I had seen some of his videos on guitar intros and solos but there are something like 100 songs broken down where he has the original tracks and can solo each part and talk about it. You learn not only how great the major artists are, the attention to detail, the layers of vocals but also loads of music theory, often without realising you've learnt it! Absolutely brilliant and I think i've lost about 6 hours already today
