Hello

So OK, it’s been a while! And I probably haven’t earned your feedback as I haven’t really been around as much as I have liked the past year or two but selfishly I post this! Although, I like to think I earned some credit when I was busier here

I’ve tried the recording route but I struggled for ability and the time to earn it so I have decided to capture my songs and ideas on film and share them that way

The theme for this is fairly obvious and lyrics are below. It’s not like me to get political but the song is more me exploring my feelings on the topic and this is what got spat out.

With sofa politicians claiming to know how it was going to be because they can see in to the future

Well if you listened to them you might as well have listened to me

They shouldn’t ask the question, if they don’t want the answer

Now, I don’t care what those brexiteers say
This was never just a question of leave or remain
With so many things wrapped up in this
It was more like asking stick or twist
I’m not myself a gambling man as two on the table to me is just one in the hand
But now that we find ourselves in this
It’s time to roll up our sleeve
And get in with the deal
Of making the dream

I loved the sound of your acoustic, it sounds a little low for your vocal register, although it might work...if mixed correctly.

You should post more here Darren, you have a lot to offer.

Hi there - a bit hard to hear your voice but the playing and tune are fab. Like the twist in the lyrics too. And the tempo change at the end works really well.
Hope you get the chance to work on it (if you want of course!)

Nice playing.
Political song I often find tricky.
I like it toward the end too, the rhythm changes.
I hope to hear a fat production someday though. Take your time with it.
I'm useless at taking my time but that's beside the point.

I really struggle for time nowadays so not sure my tracks will ever develop past where they are at now but nevermind
