Quick line to say that I'll be hosting the zoom chat tomorrow night as our regular host John @pompeyjazz is busy...but he hopes to be able to say "hello" at some point.

Please feel free to drop in for all the usual fun and frolics from 7pm

It's a great, relaxed atmosphere, with a healthy selection of top characters and tunesmiths from around the globe on hand to offer words of wisdom, wit and wubbish.

PaulAds is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Excellent!  It’d be great to see you @ScottLevi  😀

Dunno if Kev @shadowfax might be able to get along?

Maybe even the mysterious genius that is @rightly too?

it’s already a great evening...even more top quality guest stars would be fab 😀

Yes, interesting chat. I didn't know about XTC's Andy Partridge's mental struggles. But just looked up and listened to the BBC radio programme Jamie mentioned. Fascinating stuff, if you are interested in performers of his era.

Plus that thing about mental stability and how it sits with creative ability - can one exist without the other? Really not sure myself.
My latest novel: pls check it out!

‘Gavin & The Bodysnatchers’, a quirky comedy crime thriller. Easily found on Amazon.

..really enjoyed it, loved the debate about drumming

Heres a 20$ discount code for the Diezel vh4

MEGA-SALE-20-OFF

It’s obvious that those who attend have such a depth of knowledge about their influences, i was amazed.

@michaelA how is your head?

Well done to @PaulAds  for hosting! Further to the discussion on XTC if you have Sky look at Sky arts music and there are some great documentaries. There is one on XTC called this is pop which is really good, and one I really enjoyed a series of programmes called This is drumming, fascinating. There are loads of other good ones on all types of music.
Nice to catch up !

Cheers
