Hey, here's another one from the SCM.
@Binladeda had a bucketload of funky riffs that started it off.  I added words and a chorus.  @pompeyjazz added BVs and some cool synth touches. @Melusine2 and Mrs PaulyX added some multi-lingual narration in the M8.  And then a bunch of gorillas and whip crack sound effects did the rest.
We tried not to take this one too seriously.  The lyrics are cosmic psychobabble, but I'm sure they must be about something or other.
Let us know what you think and good weekend ahead.

The Infinite Monkey Band

I’ve been staring at these tracks Right to the horizon
Where parallels eventually converge
So if I keep on walking To the edge of my perception
I’ll make it to that parallel universe

It started as a whisper but its been getting louder
With every step I take and now it sounds like thunder
Rattling my ego and challenging my reason
I had to let it go and finally I got it

The infinite monkey band
Live in your mind, streaming on demand
The infinite monkey band
Plug your ears it just gets louder still

We’ve got 7 billion primates Trading endless licks
If there's one thing I have learned It's don't give gorillas drumsticks
There’s one born every minute It gets bigger every night
And everyone’s a rockstar, we’re all fighting for the mic

The roady’s done a runner, the royalties all gone
Everybody’s winging it coz no one learned the song
The tempo keeps on shifting, the key just sounds so wrong
So wrong it’s right, on stage tonight just try to sing along

And when you think it’s over, so begins the after party, Someone hits the strobes, some ethereal Svengali
And when you meet your maker they’ll say with one raised eyebrow: “I don’t care what you did, but did ya dig the show?”
It's all too beautiful.

Absolutely outstanding, I dont know where to start to express my appreciation; great guitars, vocals and backing vox and I really liked the M8. A terrific song and a lot of fun with clever lyrics.

"Everybody’s winging it coz no one learned the song"

Been there, Done that. Sadly  :(

What a great song and lyrics.
Super vocals, drums, catchy melody and that stifled elect henrix guitar really is the icing on the cake  ;D
I downloaded it but you really should have made me pay - I would have gladly done so :D

Very inventive and imaginative with many talented inputs from all the collaborators.

The song has so many interesting things going on from step to step it's like a journey through a creative sweet shop, treats at every turn.

Nothing to say but congrats and thanks for sharing  ;D
My latest novel: pls check it out!

‘Gavin & The Bodysnatchers’, a quirky comedy crime thriller. Easily found on Amazon.

Wow, that was a white knuckle ride, so much going on (can't wait for the music video). It's like having the entire Sgt Pepper album (actually probably the White Album) condensed into one track.
And the monkey band theme is pretty intriguing too.
Very exciting track - drums and guitars stand out.
Amazing stuff.

Thanks for giving it a listen guys and for the constructive comments, much appreciated, I really enjoyed working with the rest of the SCM on this.
There were two comments I'd love to understand a bit more - @cowparsleyman
what's a "Sprague 0.1pico farad cap" and @Jamie can you explain the hi-hat reference?  Whatever you meant it's cool, you just have me scratching my head...
Thanks all & happy Sunday.
It's all too beautiful.

@PaulyX - it was a reference to the  b forum Friday evening bar zoom session where we talked about guitarists having their playing concentration being affected if their sound isn’t spot on (me included)

@adamfarr - mentioned that some even criticise the capacitors in the guitar’s wiring...Sprague is a coveted manufacture of capacitors and yes I have changed them on a few of my guitars and yes they do sound better...much much better.
