Hi!

So I've got pro tools first and I've bought a piano plug in but I can't seem to get my keyboard to connect to pro tools so I can start recording. I've done some research and I believe I need a driver so they can talk but I don't know which one/where to find it!!!

I've got a casio ct-655

Any help would be great thank you!

@House463

I have just checked and your keyboard does have a MIDI output socket

You therefore need an interface to get this data in to the computer - and then to pro-tools

This seems to be a cheap solution:
https://www.thomann.de/gb/thomann_midi_usb_1x1.htm?sid=b3e7eef22022e154a44b2b1f172d2147

The interface will then have the necessary drivers (or will be "plug & play") to get the data in to your computer

The next challenge is routing this to Pro-Tools and then your Piano Virtual Instrument - so best to take it one step at a time and get the data in to the computer first

@Boydie

Thanks for your help!

I have bought a USB MIDI cable to plug the keyboard to the computer but there hasn't been any plug and play or driver options when I plug it in? A little light (on the USB part) lights up when I plug it in but that's about it?

@House463

If it is just a cable/adapter it may not be acting as an "interface", which would require drivers
