This one is a fan favorite for some reason, but it's never really connected with ME.
I guess I understand why--it's catchy and upbeat. But, for some reason I feel insulted that so many people like this so much more than so many of my other songs with I think are better.
Anyway... Thoughts?

That’s a really bright catchy song...no wonder it got such a great response from the audience. I’d be more than happy if any song of mine was anything like as well received as that. Not that any of mine ever are  :D

I’d recommend enjoying it and being very pleased that you have even better songs up your sleeve.

Admission: I recorded this "live" in the studio. The "audience" was completely made up. I just thought the singalong would work in this context. I guess I was right.
;)

(The applause was a sample and the singalong was me and a couple of friends doing the singalong thing over a few tracks)

@PopTodd - diggit Todd, this kind of trickery is right up my alley...good catchy worm influenced song, i bet you would get a similar response were you gug with it.

Yeah....I knew. I did one like that myself some years ago but I did not pull it off as well as you did.  ;)

As a marketing person once said "Clients are mostly tacky". So it's probably right to keep doing what you think and not be driven solely by what they like...

It is a catchy and pleasing song though!

Hi

Love that intro - sounds so real.
I reckon it would be a crowd favourite.
Guuiitaaar.

The energy is great.
The vocal and ad libs are a gem.

Thanks, Digger.
I actually did record it "live" it was just in the studio. Played it as if we were in front of a crowd: playing and singing at the same time, and tried to imagine a crowd in front of us.
Almost.
The guitar solo WAS overdubbed as were the vocal harmonies (and the singalong of the crowd, of course), but that was it.

Thanks all of you for your comments. It was enlightening. I guess a crowd favorite is just a crowd favorite no matter what I think of it. I'd better get myself better acquainted with playing the damn thing then.
