As some here will know I am a MASSIVE Prince fan

When this auction was first announced there was a HUGE amount of cynicism within the Prince fan circles about this auction as they thought they knew all about the Cloud guitars and where all the originals were

There were also loads of people claiming this was one of replicas

However, for this to be one of THE original originals is simply amazing

It is just a shame my birthday has just passed

Damn, how I wish he’d have stuck around.
I sometimes think he would be if he’d have eased off the religion a bit.
I think he wouldn’t get a hip replacement because of his religious views.
Over abuse of meds and surrounding himself with yes men did him in.

On a lighter note I think he’d have liked me to have that guitar.
I’d be useless with it. Lol. But still... 

I wonder who had it and why the secrecy.
Wouldn’t be surprised if it was the lovely mayte, the stick shed get for selling. Lol.

I have played Prince’s purple Taylor acoustic guitar at a Prince exhibition and Clapton’s guitar tech let me play one of Eric’s Strats on the side of the stage

I as was chatting to him drooling over the strats and asking about Clapton’s tone boost circuit when he immediately put one around my neck, put some headphones on me and said - “give it a try” - so I did!!

He also gave my guitar the “once over” before we played our support spot 😄
