Hi All,

We've just finished our new project - The Silent Theatre - 10 songs of joy and happiness.
We had to stick the Bond tune in there to help pad it out. And a few others I've already posted here over the past year or so.
Productivity isn't quite what it used to be.  :D

This is our grunge meets Radiohead type of thing.

Thanks for checking out and any feedback.

Transcribe my suicide

I hear I left the show

Hey Hey

It’s closing time

I’m done down below

No pretty

Pretty little lies

To get me through the day

Done time on the endless line

I’m
I’m on my way

Don’t be confused
I won’t be used

Justify
Your changing mind

You’re living blind
Don’t give me a reason to live

Justify

The nothing lines
How many times
I’ve got nothing left to give

High tide for damaged pride

I had to let it go
My my
So bad inside
It’s a one man show
No guilty
Guilty last cries
To keep me here today
Your eyes are an endless crime
I’m
I’m gone today

Don’t be confused
I won’t be used

Justify
Your changing mind

You’re living blind
Don’t give me a reason to live

Justify

The nothing lines
How many times
I’ve got nothing left to give

I’m letting you know

Just letting you know
Just letting you know
I’m just letting you know

Just letting you know

I’m just letting you know
Just letting you know
I’m just letting you know

You caused this.

Take another turn walk over me

Caught between your lies I seldom breathe
Waiting around took all of me

Take a little pill and I’ll be free

I’m out

I’m out

Don’t be confused
I won’t be used

Justify
Your changing mind

You’re living blind
Don’t give me a reason to live

Justify

The nothing lines
How many times
I’ve got nothing left to give

Just letting you know

I’m just letting you know
Just letting you know
I’m just letting you know

You caused this.

Well @digger72 this is something pretty special. Amazing dynamics. Love the light and shade and when those heavy guitars kick in, wow ! A bit of a Radiohead Creep moment. Top quality guys

I, too, like the dark nature of this mood. The chorus moves in a direction that, very subtly, distracts from the mood that was initiated.....good?....bad?....I'm not sure. I am feeling a bit detached. And that, of course, is just me.
regardless, I love the sounds.....something I could never come up with.......very cool, man. Bravo!!

Great work, as usual from you guys. Love the light and shade and the sparseness of the arrangement ,but filled with great sounds.Plenty to enjoy there. The 'just letting you know' chords were great in particular 8)
Really enjoyable listening

Cheers

Smashing build in this... feels like all hell is about to break loose at around 2:20.  The lyrics, from the first line, are reaaaally dark & gothy - suicide mentioned in third word... you don't hang about in establishing the mood.  This would definitely resonate well with fans of Garbage, Curve, Depeche Mode, The Mission - that kind of dark indie angle.  I like the way the vocalist stays a bit detached from it too, a kind of ice queen delivery - while the guitars provide all the dynamics you need underneath.  Very nice work.
It's all too beautiful.

Great feel, love the guitars and the voice has a real innocence about it, very good indeed.

Veerry much up my street - very big fan of this.
The recording is top notch, especially the snare (kudos to whoever recorded/tensioned it respectively). In places in the verses it reminded me of the 28 Days Later soundtrack.

Honestly, I have no criticisms - absolutely beautifully written and executed piece.
If it were me, the only thing I might do is add a subtle harmony in the chorus or the "I'm just letting you know" bit.
Information is not knowledge.
Knowledge is not wisdom.
Wisdom is not truth.
Truth is not beauty.
Beauty is not love.
Love is not music.
Music is the best!

So much emotion in this track, really well done! Having it cranked thru my system
its very punchy while uniquely raw & polished sounding. I do like David Christy Jones
harmony line idea, really well done  !

Yes this is fabulous
A lot of commercial appeal
Sounds like a major undertaking.
I'll have another listen tomorrow.
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

Holy feck - this is so GOOD.  ;D ;D
Awesome sound and vibe.
Love the edgy guitars and vocals.
Nice to hear you go all in on metal.
Radio ready IMHO.  ;D

Paul

BTW - almost not worth mentioning but there is a dirty noise in the first few seconds in the right channel - like a bad speaker connection. Maybe it's intentional?

Hi there,

To start with as I read your introductory words, I was a bit nervous as I can't abide grunge and I think Radiohead are probably the most overrated famous band in the world. However, I loved the intro and the vocals are superb. I loved the vibe and all the lovely little sonic touches throughout. Very atmospheric with interesting, dangerous and dark lyrics. Much, much better than I expected and also better than anything of heard by Radiohead.

Dark and delicious. I love the vocal. And everything else, too... I'm not usually a real fan of dark themes, but this just grabs me.

@digger72

Yo Stephen and Katja.

It's great to see the muse hasn't left you,as this is well up there with your other creative imaginings.

Darkly delicious and morbidly melodic. I hear elements of Curved Air in there.

A very cool listen,you two.
