Boredom finally made me finish this song, vocals still not great but I thought I’d post it any way....

Eyes of green and hair of red
I can’t get her out of my head
I really wish I could think of something else instead

See her dancing on the street
Flowers painted on her feet
Smiles and waves at everyone she meets

She’s on my mind 24 seven time
She’s my secret girl....

No one seems to know her name
Her skin is equal to porcelain
It’s like the story of Superman and Lois Lane

Hi , touches of Beautiful South, Lou Reed and Johnny Cash along the way.It almost has a country feel but not quite. If you like the Beautiful South, I could see this being a song for you. There are a few places where the vocals go a bit off, but I got the feel.
Nice one!
Cheers

Hi Wayne,

I got some Van Morrison too.

Very nice song.
Vocal is pleasantly gruff with a strong melody.
Music back drop is totally fitting - offers a sense of yearning alongside the vocal.

Good stuff.

Hi Wayne - Yup, getting a touch of VM as well. I think your vocals work very well with this style of song. Nicely put together piece of work

Hey there Sullish....just had a listen....pretty nice stuff. Good recording, as well.
Not much for me to crit, other than to say I liked it.
Keep on, man!

I really liked the atmospheric opening - although would suggest getting to the vocal a little earlier

I got the Lou Reed vibe, which gave the song a great "attitude" - although a little more variation in the vocal may have added some more interest

The use of strings throughout was particularly nice
