Anyone familiar with this guy or organization? He contacted me, explaining he runs the e-zine Aldora Britain Records. He says he saw my new album release on Bandcamp and says he wants to do an interview and review based around it. Whenever someone approaches me out of the blue, unsolicited, I suspect chicanery of some kind.

Any insights? Opinions? Inside knowledge?

As we say at work, Google is your friend.

So the first thing I notice when I Google them... no apparent website. they DO have a Facebook page and a couple of Bandcamp pages show up too. Also a blogspot.com page and a few others. But nothing pops up with their own site.

So, we're talking amateur hour and not a professional outfit (at least not in any sense I would count as professional.

Had a (very) quick look at their FB page and it looks very much fandom (contact uses a sky e-mail). Has 1400 followers, been going since 2013.

Just looking at it I'm not so sure they'll ask for money (but don't quote me on that). I only had time for a quick look so I couldn't say definitively one way or another).

My suggestion - if your interest is piqued, ask them. If not, probably nothing to lose sleep over.
