Hello

I've been given the honour of hosting February's Song Of The Month...so over the next day or two, I'll be picking out a shortlist of songs for you to vote for...should you feel so inclined.

My only criteria are that

A) I think you posted a really good song on the forum in February
B) You have contributed to the forum at some point, to the best of my knowledge, beyond simply whacking a couple of reviews out to make it look respectable when dropping in one of your own songs.

OK...enough agonising...I'm tying myself in knots over choosing nominations...so I'm simply going for the new songs that grabbed me the most for a variety of reasons...namely

1) Over The Garden Wall by @Rightly

http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=17232.0

2) Tragic Magic by @MichaelA

http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=17249.0

3) Elegy by @Jamie

http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=17235.0

4) Uncle Edward by @pompeyjazz

http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=17266.0

5) High and Dry by @shadowfax and @Sterix

http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=17242.0

Please drop me a PM with your favourite song (no need for 2nd and 3rd, ta) by midnight on Friday 13th...and I'll announce the winner shortly thereafter.

Good luck to everyone...and my apologies to the half a dozen or so who I came very close to nominating. I really enjoyed checking out everyone songs.

I came alone and they've all got knives!!

Holy cow, Batman! Is that me up there? o_O

Difficult one to choose this one. But I've made up my mind (I think!). My vote is on its way across the airwaves and into your PM box.

Thanks for all the votes so far...tootling along nicely and currently a dead heat...it'd be great to get a few more votes from forum members who don't have a rat in this particular race...c'mon folks!

All votes are in and in a very close contest, the winner, by just one vote, in a coronavirus-ravaged turnout is...

Uncle Edward by @pompeyjazz - congratulations, John 😀

Thanks again to everyone who took the time to vote!
