Hi! Well for me it reminds me of Bowie’s “cut up lyrics” technique. His songs don’t tend to flow in a conventional narrative but have loads of arresting, often quite glamorous images that ‘somehow’ add up to a whole that feels consistent and has a message... although usually I couldn’t express the meaning in words so much, it’s more of a mood. I felt that about your lyrics too... I really like them, they are powerful and hang together well, but I’m not sure what’s going on. Plus, your title/chorus line has a swagger/glamour about it, a bit like Bowie’s “Boys keep Swinging” or similar. I don’t think this is a rip off at all though, more that I like it in the same way I like his words.
