Hello everyone... I'm new here, so I hope my post will be all right. Otherwise, please let me know an excuse me for my mistakes :-)

I would love to show you one of my latest songs, called Freakin'. it is a song about the fear of loss in a relationship. Its quite autobiographic and personal... even if my English is bad, so sorry about that, but I'm from Switzerland:-)

I would love to hear, what you think about the arrangement, the groove and the feel of the song. Everything you hear is played by myself... so all Instruments, Vocals, the recording in my bedroom is made by Roger Ricks.

Lyrics:

your anger leaves me to fall into the bottomless
one step forward and two back doesn’t mean progress
Love you like hell and hate the way you treat me too
I’m fighting against the wall that rises up in my view

I try to put the parts together to a bigger size
I have no chance there are just fragments I realize

Freakin
It's freaking loud inside my head
It's freaking loud I am afraid
It's freaking loud I can not stand it
Stop

My thoughts are frozen in the face of your rejection
I'm frustratingly paralyzed in my reaction
At this moment I don’t know where you stand I am blind
felt injustice spreads in my frightened mind

I try to put the parts together to a bigger size
I have no clue just fragments I have no chance

Freakin
It's freaking loud inside my head
It's freaking loud I am afraid
It's freaking loud I can not stand it
Stop

I listen to your words but they don't make any sense
Want you to recognize my pain take a glance
Waiting until the pouring rain is running out of time
The cloud disappears for a bright sunshine

Freakin
It's freaking loud inside my head
It's freaking loud I am afraid
It's freaking loud I can not stand it
Stop

Thank you for listen to my music and I hope you enjoy it.

A great first offering, with some tasty licks. I hope you stick around and offer us more.

I’m getting a cross between ac/dc and Huey Lewis and the News, which is no bad thing.

Writing this as I listen for the first time, First a huge warm welcome to the forum.

Gruesses, Servus or Bon jour. Nice licks, very tasty production, love the timing of the Backing Vocals, super work.

My only comment is that usually these rock genres have some kind of synth/string pad thickening it in the background, very often unnoticed, used to be on a Jupiter8 or similar.

Perfect drum programming.

Time to change out of my Matterhorn print leggings and mullet...

Hope this helps

Rich

Hey Roger, big welcome. I thought this sounded great.  Well done in particular if it is just you by yourself in your bedroom... bravo.  It ticked a lot of boxes for the classic rock / ACDC / Aerosmith / hair metal kind of vibe... lots of energy and confident riffs, plus you sing it very well.  I don't really have any suggestions for you on this one - just enjoy the forum and post some more.
It's all too beautiful.

Quality production and performance! I think you have a lot to give and to get on this forum. Love that bit where the guitar riffs over the vocal around 2'05". Drums are great. A bit AC/DC meets Foos...
