Siri, Alexa, Google assistant, they're all out there hanging on your every word helping you to choose what clothes to wear and what music to listen to. Feeding all your online activity back to the corporate giants so they can "suggest" what you might want to buy next  ;D

Hope you enjoy  :)

Primed for magic activation
Waiting, primed on every word you say
What did you say ?
Problem access network
No results to display - today

Automatic seek and search
Feeding back in seconds to your home
But you're alone
Yes, very alone

You're going to do just what I say
Going to obey me and entertain me
Enhance my life in every way
I'm insistent, My little assistant

Algorithms calculate
Activity and habits night and day
Twisting information
For corporate intervention

You're going to do just what I say
Going to obey me and entertain me
Enhance my life in every way
I'm insistent, My little assistant

You always tell me
Exactly what I need to know
I can never switch you off
That's a massive no no !

You're going to do just what I say
Going to obey me and entertain me
Enhance my life in every way
I'm insistent

Great song and great idea too, John

Love the chord changes in the chorus...that first one in particular sounds so sweet.

Fun take on what might well turn out in hindsight to be a deeply sinister development.

I always love hearing your songs.

Hi John, great idea for a song, you might have changed the lyric if you'd known there was a chance that a future government would own the right to all your data, now that's really creepy! ;).Love the guitar sounds and your quality vocals too.
Excellent, as ever!
Cheers

Ooh that vocal (delay?) effect is fab - great verse melody, and that little synth thing in the background is tasty!!

Clever song! Love the theme...

The whole thing is very well put together and performed - I will say that I particularly love the verses! Another quality and original track, Mr Prolific! Nice work @pompeyjazz yet again! Cool ending too!

Hi @pompeyjazz - Listening to this as I write...Nice prod, cool hooks too,

It's very You, dig the samples to, right up my strasse.

Might benefit from a double tracked LVox, maybe an 8va line in the Verses (if you can stretch that far..)  8)

Wow, that was great John. Listening through headphones with the volume up that was so powerful. The production's very good, such a solid sound and lovely effects and the vocals and backing vocals were top class. Really cool idea, too. Enjoyed that a lot.

Nice one John - really like the unique melody lines and those trippy drums.
Good hook placement and you stay true to it and its message.
Please wait - I'll check with my assistant if she's OK with me saying this..
Yes she is
Good work John!  ;D ;D

Awesome.  Those oscillating guitar lines in the background in the verses are really evocative.  Love the way it kicks off in the choruses too... a great example of the verses building up the tension for a big pay-off in the chorus.  Super lyrics and theme too of course.  Right up there amongst your best this one.
It's all too beautiful.

Hi John, very cool driving guitar riff and bass n' drums in those verses. Chorus comes along with a chord sequence giving a great lift and  super poppy backing vocals sweeten up the rock vibe,

Clever, topical lyrics, as in many of your songs. Seemingly effortless production, everything coming together really well. Definitely got the final pay-off hook stuck in my head now, nice one! :)

Great sound to this. From the very beginning. A strong contender for the song of the month!

Yo @pompeyjazz

I first caught this a couple of weeks ago and it still pulls no punches. Sharp production and great acerbic vocal delivery.

Sounds like it's always been around. Instant classic,John!  8)

This is so perfect. I have voice recognition [sort of] turned off on my phone, so I can't say "Okay Google" and get a response. I do cheat, though, and click the microphone so I can search by voice, so turning it off probably doesn't help.

Anyway, I love this. "Twisting information for corporate intervention" oh yeah!

... we laughed, Siri laughed, Alexa laughed...

Love the “Bo Diddeley” rhythms and digital touches in this one. Great vocal delivery and energy - very ‘insistent’’. Love the guitar tones and riffage too.

A life run by algorithms... mind you Spotify recommends Common People to me almost every week as something for me to discover, so clearly not that smart.

Great quality song.
