Right then.

Voting closed at lunchtime and the ballot boxes got hauled off to be split open and counted this afternoon.

ALL of the contenders got some votes, so everyone's a champ.

Amongst those champs though, 2 songs pulled ahead.

The runner up was @adamfarr 's "Animals" featuring @PaulAds and @pompeyjazz with a healthy share of the poll.

Who inched ahead in the final furlong though to claim ultimate victory?
Yes, @Viscount Cramer & His Orchestra , it's really you.

WINNER: "It's Really Me", the Viscount featuring @CaliaMoko and @PaulAds

Congratulations to all and thank you for sharing these fine songs with the forum.

Pauly

PS Any volunteers to compile the shortlist for October?
It's all too beautiful.

It is truly an honor to have had a role in the winning song. I enjoyed all the entries; they're all winners.

Well I'll be.....very pleased. Never won anything outright before.
Thanks to all, especially to PaulAds for his bass guitar and Vicki, without whom this would never have got out of my PC.

And special thanks to Pauly for hosting
Take it easy.

Well done Viscount and team - richly deserved, great track.

All good tracks this month, really, so chuffed with second (and thanks to my own team!)
Great job with selections and vote herding from PaulyX. I don't mind hosting the next one.
Cheers all

I'll volunteer for hosting the November competition unless there is anyone else who would like to do it. Maybe one of the newer members should have the honour. Anyway, I'll be on the subs bench if no takers  :)

It would be a pleasure to do November's SOTM, @pompeyjazz - I appreciate the offer of on-call-judge, If something irreversable crops up, but I'm sure I'll be fine with it.

@CaliaMoko & @Viscount Cramer & His Orchestra - Blinkin well done and I loved that song, really brilliant right up my street (lined with street food, Jerky, and cocunut milk and spiders...man)  want to do one of those in my Genre Jumping....maybe nect year.
