Just a little break up song.

Lyrics

So my friend this is the end
of our love i can't pretend
Coz we can't go on like this
So your love i'll sadly miss

Oh so near and yet so far
So far away
So near, so far
So far away

So my love i have to go
I don't want my tears to show
But i don't know what to do
coz i'm still in love with you

Oh so near and yet so far
So far away
So near, so far
So far away
Remember.... it's just my opinion. It doesn't make me right. Although i probably am ;)

Beautiful, subtle song, which evokes strong emotions. Modest composition and soft vocals work perfect, good job :)

I really enjoyed this. Such a fabulous melody and the stripped down production works fantastically well. A great reminder that we don't always have to throw the kitchen sink at a song, a crime that I am often guilty of  ;D

dude, this is nice

Great vocal tone and delivery, top guitar work too, Love its simplicity but I can appreciate that its played very well and accurately without losing its feel.

Going for a second listen...

Yes that’s really very nice. Beautiful melodies. No crits here ... it’s quite pristine. Simple, precious, charming. Great work.
It's all too beautiful.

Such a pretty melody @dinnerwithgreedo  and the sparse treatment works perfectly with it. Very well performed indeed. Guitar work is lovely. Gorgeous really....

Proof that less is sometimes more. In the middle of our noisy and busy lives we need the simple pleasure of delicate songs like this. Nothing fancy, but very emotive and great mix of a restrained ear pleasing backing track showcasing sensitive vocals and lyrics.

There's definitely a Beatles feel/influence running through this song.  It's straight to the point and all the more beautiful for that!

This does remind me of sir mcartney
I hope it's not autobiographical

I do think you could really branch and make it a huge epic event.
maybe two more verses with a blinding solo, and more drama, like a big Led Zeppelin joint.

A lot work there. It is nice as it is.
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

Don't eat the yellow snow

And there you have it.

Thank you guys. McCartney is an influence on me (he was the best Beatle... YES HE WAS!!!) so all comparisons are obviously welcomed.

@Rightly - It is indeed autobiographical
