Just when you thought it couldn't get any cheesier... :)
Started out as a Monty Python kind of "Sunny Side of Life" tune.
Does the narration work? Too much verb on it?
Any comments/advice would be welcome :)

Find a Sunny Spot

Find a sunny spot and set yourself in it
Find a happy life - it's time to begin it
If the world is closing in and getting darker every minute
Find a sunny spot and set yourself in it

Find a sunny spot where you don't need to worry
Find a sunny spot where you don't need to hurry
When your days are getting dreary and your eyes are getting blurry
Find a sunny spot where you don't need to worry

'Cause life's too short to live it in the shade
If it brings you lemons, make some lemonade
Do it today!

Find a sunny spot where you got no trouble
Find a sunny spot where you'd like to snuggle
If your life is kinda crazy crazy and you really need to struggle
Find a sunny spot where you got no trouble

'Cause life's too short to live it in the shade
When things turn sour, make some lemonade
Make it today!
Hey!!

Find a sunny spot and set yourself in it
Find a happy life - it's time to begin it
If your days are getting darker, don't you wait another minute
Find a sunny spot and set yourself in it

If your days are getting darker don't you wait another minute....
Find a sunny spot and set yourself in it!

nice vocals! Reminds me of some of the work that Paul McCartney did! Keep up the good work!

 Hey Paul  ;D

Houston is more intelligent than me......he's got it sorted, easy life, no worries. Plus he can do
maths better than me ;D  Super Dog ;D

Love the idea/song/performance....more a TV show than a song. ;D ;D .  This strikes me as being
very commercial.  But what do I know ::)

Loved it mate....very entertaining, as usual ;D

Nowt as queer as folk...........my gran

Hello Paulski :) great funny song, also I like childish arrangement. Vocals feel relaxed and positive.

This is brilliant @Paulski :) You have a way to entertain with your songs, and yet again I am more than entertained. The lyrics are clever, funny and well written. The narration works and gives a story to the rest of the song. And Houston is one clever dog! Excellent piano work as always! :)

Well, I don't know how you keep coming up with this stuff @Paulski Just so incredibly inventive. It works well, I think the spoken introduction enhances it. This really should be used commercially, you have an incredible talent. I think you've knocked the cheeseometer off the scale this year  :)

Yo Paul.

You whacked this one right out of the park, round the world and hit me on the back of the head while I stood gaping in awe.

Right from the story intro to the superdog mathematician ending, you killed it!

The song itself is a joyfully positive piece and guaranteed to bring a smile to the most miserable moosh.

This oughtta be in a movie, maybe Shrek sunbathing or something!

Awesome work Randy Paul, you rock man.  8)

I think this is going to be the new motto for my life! :)

Very entertaining as usual with some great keyboard and vocal embellishments, all highly imaginative - and very wise words too. What's not to like?!
My latest novel: pls check it out!

‘Gavin & The Bodysnatchers’, a quirky comedy crime thriller. Easily found on Amazon.

Cheers everyone for the sunny reception given to this one.  I'm not so keen on the sound of my voice in the intro so I'm glad no-one mentioned that..  ;D

@MonnoDB Thanks so much Karen. I'm glad to hear it works for you  :D

@MichaelA Thanks Michael. Yeah there are worse mottos out there you could follow.

@Skub cheers Davey. It's really not worthy of all those kudos but I'm glad you liked it  :D

@pompeyjazz Thanks John! Cheesometer - hehe. Yeah I'm peggin the needle on that lately. Thanks for taking the time  :D

@shadowfax cheers Kevin - nice to hear that from your talented self. Would be great if someone would pay to use this silly song someday - One can only hope  ;D

@LukeArmstrongMusic Thanks Luke - appreciate the kind words. Gotta give Houston some credit for the inspiration. Although he left me a little parcel on the floor yesterday I wasn't too happy to find  :(

@Sunduta Thanks! Glad you picked up a positive vibe  ;D

@Binladeda cheers bin - TV show haha don't give me any ideas.. Houston sends his regards as well.  ;D

@Andi Woah - I'll take a Sir Paul comparison any day - thanks!

Hope I didn't miss anyone - if I did - thanks to you too  :D :D

Absolutely brilliant. Your imagination, humour and knack for a lyric and melody are all on show here big time. Lyrics are accessible yet very deep message here for everyone. Love it. Very funny intro and outro. Woof.

“Find a sunny spot and shit in it?” Houston, we have a problem. Sorry  :)

Great fun song...even for an old misery-guts like me :)

Expertly done.

Yes this is genius Paulski/Houston.  Impossible not to be cheered up by it.  Doctors should prescribe it instead of valium.  The spoken bits definitely add to it (it would not be as sweet if you hadn't introduced us to Houston first).  This track is much needed here this week too - our clocks just went back for Winter so it is DARK whenever not at work now... I'll keep this on repeat until we get to Spring.
It's all too beautiful.
