Wow. Really enjoyed this!
Sounds really inspired
It's got it all
And then comes the breakdown

Uplifting song.

Well done pompey!
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

Don't eat the yellow snow

And there you have it.

We all LOVE the bass! John. Would be great if you can share the secret of that muscular sound. Is it live? If that bass is synthetic I want to know the source NOW!!!!
This is a great example of how you can build a song around a dynamic bass. Far too many songwriters deploy the bass with function over form. Great sound. I love any sound that is faguely Fall like and this certainly is. V much enjoyed.

A big thank you to you all for your feedback on this number. @mickyplankton to answer your question regarding the bass sound, I play all of the instruments "live" and record them dry DI through my audio interface into the DAW. I then apply the FX to them post recording. This way, If I don't like a particular amp sim, I can change it. The bass sound here is created by applying one of the Guitar Rig bass amp presets (Vintage Bass) I've then run it through the Neutron Elements track assistant to apply EQ and comp. This is more or less my usual process for the majority of stuff that I record  :)

Thank you all once again

Hi Pomps

Kicks ass this track, love the bass and vocal delivery is defo the pompster, class.

Only thing for me I thought the mix pumped a bit, prob too much bus comp at mastering stage and the vocal was a little upront for me, but hey, thats a taste thing. IMHO

back to the song, hell yeh, driving me along, energy, top work fella.

Your tracks mate, have so much to say, great writing dude.

Andy

No probs Pomps.

a mix is such a personal thing, I think its great to get your hard work out there and get loads of opinions, then sift through and take what you feel is good info,

But hey, I am no pro mixing guy, so if this is the sound that you were going for then I tip my hat to you good sir.

Bangin tune Mr P
