That's a great funky bass sound for a start, then muscular guitars of a rock variety make me wisely conclude this may well be funk-rock!
Very much like the understated chorus hook line. Accomplished musicianship throughout, and very earthy vocal that suits this down to the ground
You use that solo to introduce the M8 really skillfully, and build well with all that layering towards the end. Felt I was in very safe hands!
This sounds like a hit record from the late 70's. I am not even sure what is in the charts anymore, but maybe it is time for stuff like this to make a big comeback! Very good song which I enjoyed immensely.
