@Rightly,  It's great to write new material. Songs often come in twos for me also. Great imagery in the lyric "backward climb up the crooked stair." Equally "when no one feels compelled to play it fair, the victory goes to those who's do not care " is a fine lyric. These are thought provoking
Lyrics.  This is a little cryptic in places but Ai enjoy finding the hidden meanings or attributing my own.  I always regard you as an extraordinary writer. Long may you continue to present songs that evoke feeling and intrigue.

Especially, the second verse I thought was interesting, and it paints a decent picture of how the world is today, especially the business world, and how the big men and women have come to the top of their field, usually they step on some toes along the way.
