I am in Chicago, IL, USA.
And, having lived here throughout the 1990s, and being a part of the music scene here back then, I know EXACTLY who this guy is:

Quote
His name is Aadam Jacobs. And we learned that, over more than three decades, he has recorded, stored and catalogued about 10,000 live Chicago concerts on cassettes, CDs, and memory cards. His collection includes the early work of Liz Phair, Smashing Pumpkins, Jeff Tweedy, New Order, Stereolab, Flaming Lips, Yo La Tengo and much more.

Give this story a listen or a read. It's fascinating. And, hopefully, someday, his archives will be up online somewhere and available for streaming.
I think he may have even recorded me and/or my bands once or twice.

Johns Hopkins has a very large sheet music archive they got as a donation from an estate, I believe. They've cataloged it and placed it online. But I don't suppose they want to take on another project of that magnitude.
