This is really good. I love the vibe the music sets, you can feel it even without the lyrics which takes skill. Overall this sounds very professional, I'm a bit jealous lol I would appreciate it if you put the lyrics in your post just so I can follow along. The way the guitar fits with the synth (I think that's a synth) at the very beginning and between the verses is nice, also I'm a big fan of the production. Great job!
and though we cry
we must stay alive
let my blood only run out
when my world decides
there is no way out
of your only life
so run on...
run on

Hello Steve.

It'd be good to have the lyrics to follow...and a little bit about yourself would be good too.

Good song. You sound like you know what you're doing.

I was going to suggest having a wander over to the "introductions" section...then I went over there myself to see if you'd already posted there, and noticed that it's mostly people who introduced themselves and then disappeared...so maybe you do right :-)

Thank you for your very kind comments. I'm no professional, I just record stuff in my spare bedroom as a hobby. The lyrics are :-

Old friend of mine
Will you ever find your truth?
Turn back the heavy hands of time
Cos I don't want to lose you too
Old friend of mine
I see you picture in the clouds
Looking like a movie star
With both feet on the ground

Old friend of mine
Can you look me in the eye?
To tell me that you're fighting
Tell me you'll survive
Old friend of mine
Stay around a long long time
There's a place at the table
For an old friend of mine
There's a place at the table
For an old friend of mine

Nice tribute song - I like the lyrics - sorry for your loss.
TBH I found it a bit repetitive for its length. Maybe either trim it or go somewhere else musically?
Other than that it was a pleasant track
Oh and welcome!
