Tinkering with words. Not even sure it's a song/lyric. Would love some input.

Just tinkering with words and this kind of came out.  Worthwhile?
\

                              WHO WON THE WAR?

Verse:
Just a couple million of our best young men were killed, but we won the war.
And maybe a few of those dead young men had a clue what they were dying for.
But the good guys won, and the bad guys lost, so it’s better than before.
And it’s hard to say what the future holds in store.

CHORUS:
Who won the war?  Who won the war?  Who won the war?
Guess it all depends upon what we were fighting for.
Probly ought to ask ourselves whose richer than before?
Twas Industrialists and Profiteers who ended up with more.
And that’s who wins at war.   Oh oh oh oh oh ohhhh.  That’s who won the war.

Sometimes You have to take a closer look at who what is won and who what is lost.
Some of the mama’s of the boys who were killed felt it wasn’t worth the cost.
And their daddy’s are proud, but they cry out loud at what they paid for the holocaust.
They lost their pride and joy when that ole Rubicon was crossed.

Just a couple million of our best young men were killed, when the game was played.
For some many there was great sacrifice.  For some a few, there was a fortune to me made.
We might have crossed a few boundaries, but the dragons all were slayed.
Over time, the memory of pain and loss will fade.

BRIDGE:
Nobody wins in a loser’s game.  Nothing ever changes, it’s always the same.
And the soldiers do the dirty work, but the soldiers aren’t to blame.
The soldiers pay the biggest cost, but the soldiers aren’t to blame.

VERSE:
So we’ll help rebuild the economies of those we were recently trying to end.
We’ll rebuild the mills and factories we bombed to make them bend.
Yesterday they were demonized, but today, they are our friend.
And the future sure looked brighter way back when.

And the future sure looked brighter way back when.
