Hi y'all,

Before I start writing on about these lyrics, I was just wondering if the '2 lyrics per 2-weeks' rule is in effect. I was going through the thread and the poll, and I assume it's not in place. However, I just wanna ask so I don't over-post for the two-week period.

Anyways, this was a song I was working on a few weeks ago, but I never completed it for some reason. After getting into the writing mojo, I picked this up again and finished it. Ditto to the first post - any suggestions and comments will always be appreciated

a hero has fallen.

Pre-Chorus:

at this solemn, dark moment.

Wonderful concept.  At a quick first read, the concept seems to be well presented by the lyric.  I'll have to have another look.  BUT. . . even without another look, it's very, very good.  The "second look" is to get a perspective on how good.  I really enjoyed this. 

There is a vagueness to the story line that I think is a real positive, not a negative.  Is it an allegory?  A true story?  A fairy tale?  A Fable?  As a listener, I'm better off not knowing.  As it is, it's ME (i.e. the listener) who gets to decide what kind of story it is.  That's a wonderful empowerment for the listener.  And usually, (not always) the listener appreciates (without necessarily knowing he/she appreciates) the song for that.

After a second look, I like this even more.  There is an ironic satire to this that I didn't get on the first time read. 

I LOVED the "We're all alone" line.  Irony, satire, and emotion all mixing into that line. 

Great lyric.

Thank you so much! I'm really flattered by your words. I also didn't notice the use of irony and satire, but I'll take it! I hope that this set of lyrics will become a song soon.
