A different approach.

Usually I'll post up a track here after it's been on my cloud for a while. Sometime this is due to the 14 day rule and sometimes because I don't want to wear out my welcome by foisting a new track every fortnight on a beleagued membership!

Anyway,fresh off the press,git it while it's hot,etc,here's a new track moaning about touchy,moody people.  :)

Another great skuborb track.

This is your sound mate and its really good. Love all the doubled vocal parts and that twang that we have grown to love.

Thumbs up here dude,

ps, That guitar was bit sharp here on my ears, mix wise, easy fix, get a fast comp on it. Reign the beast back a bit.

Great work.

Hi @Skub, I'm glad you have written a song about 'touchy, moody people'! Now I have my own anthem! :)

Anyhow, it's a smart thought that, in these lyrics and very true I guess.

Two things stuck out for me - the lovely layers of the vocal harmonising and secondly that quieter interlude of solo guitaring - what a fantastic tone and fab melodic playing.

I think you will do well with this one, cheers!

You have your own distinctive style - couldn’t be anyone else, and that is a great thing in itself. That lead guitar break towards the end sounds A-MAZE-ZING! And boy do I know these people you sing about.

I can't help repeating myself, FAB GUITARS!!!! Once again I forgot to listen to the song due to the fretwork, not only the playing but the way them guitars SOUND!!!
But that chorus is crying out (loud!) for a Ric-12, steal, beg or borrow but get one in there! :-)
Mix is very good, love how crisp you get them, my only complaint would be the BVs being a bit too up front at a few places and actually I think the vocals are a bit tto up front over all. Don't quite 'gel' with the rest.

Oh, how I love the tone, don't think anything has had this impact since I heard Sultans of Swing for the first time...

Hail @Skub , king of clean tones!

@shadowfax

Ha! I hear ya Kev. Thanks for listening,man.  :)

@CaliaMoko

I'm glad you dig,Vicki.  :)

@Cawproductions

Thanks for the feedback Andy,as thee knows I've squeezed the rhythm guitar in the verses a little more. Sorry about your poor ears! Much appreciated.  ;)

@MichaelA

Thankya Moody Michael.  :D

@Bill Saunders

Many thanks Bill.  8)

@Jambrains

Just for you Johan,I put in a 12 string in the chorus areas (actually,it's an 11 string,because I'm a lazy twat!) I also pulled back the main vocals and the BVs.

Thanks everyone for all the pointers,my ears stop hearing things after working on something and it's really helpful to know what others hear.  :)

Nice intro...good start...makes you sit up and....we're away!

I like the 1-2-3...you're-un-pre...start to the verses.
You've really made yourself a Skub sound with those backing vocals now.

Guitars are fab as ever and the mellow rockout is great....comes back in in style to finish too.

Nice one Davy.

Take it easy.

This sounds really tropical to me somehow.  As has been said, the guitars are wonderfully crisp, and you treat us to a banquet of building guitar lines towards the end which can only delight.  Great title / strapline in the chorus too.  Just a top notch, good-natured joy of a track.
It's all too beautiful.

Hi,

The song reminds me of Bowie. It's fresh, it's groove and there's character. The slightly hoarse voice gives something special. I like the solo a little less because I think it's a little long, but it's according to my personal taste.

Great piece!

please dont be offended by the comparisons but they help me process a song. When it started I got a police / sting vibe and then it merged in to more roy orbison sort of thing and then a mark knopfler solo ! The guitars are great ... the boy can play!

@skub - nice tune, lovely tones from those fingers, no nits from me, thought the 3 section lead gtrs worked well.

Good luck with album.

Wow, had to listen because of the amazing title. And stayed for the ride of course. I thought maybe the BVs came in a bit too soon - I'd probably have kept them for the chorus and then in verse 2 as a variation. But who knows. Super tune (and just in case noone was going to mention it, guitar solo).
