Hello

I've been knocking up an album of acoustic versions of some of the songs I've written over the last 33 years or so. It started with me practicing for a solo gig I've got coming up...and as I quite enjoyed myself, I thought I'd record some of them. To be fair, some worked better than others...but I thought I'd whack them all out and offer it up for nowt. It was really fun doing them in such a stripped back fashion.

It's here if anyone fancies having a listen...

They used to call me "Adda" at school...so I thought I'd use that name, rip-off the ABBA logo and make a rubbish joke too.

Cheers!

Hi Paul

Listening while I do a spot of work - I'd actually forgotten how listenable I find your voice! It's unique and really appeals to me. There's a touch of Mr Costello in there (as I've banged on about before), but it is your own! I recognise some from Keep The Receipt, an album I love. Honeymoon at Home, Ashley Madison - superb songs mate, as are many of them!

They say that a test of good song is if it works stripped back like this, and many of them pass the test with flying colours.

What a great listen Paul. Lovely to hear acoustic interpretations of some of my old favourites. Works so  well

Hi I’m really impressed I like your voice it is unusual , I enjoyed listening and seeing the words as well , one or two songs sounded a bit similar .
I think I’d prefer to hear you sing songs that had a bit of an edge , a bit faster ,punkier, stranglers , undertones time of thing - I think you remind me of Fergal Sharkey

Hi Paul!

Nice with a new album.
I've unsubscribed to Spotify in an attempt to discover new artists and music. Takes me back to the Myspace days.
You've given me a good starting point.

All the best!

Martin

well
I've downloaded a copy
you're a very solid songwriter with a distinctive style.

I did once cover "stand down" and would busk it in Berlin.
The song resonated with me
Great job!
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

And there you have it.
