This is the most fun I've had in years... 8)

I just wanted to say a musical thanks to all those Artists and Producers that made me put me pint down and got me looking like a maniac on the Dance Floor.

It's part of my Genre Jumping Suite.

Hope you dig.

All comments welcome.

Fabulous stuff @cowparsleyman you funky chicken. You've really nailed the genre. Got all the instruments spot on as well. I love the George Benson skat as well. Love that bass sound, real or midi or both ? Fabulous listen

@pompeyjazz - Thanks for the kind words...PJ I always try and play everything using real instruments where I can, the regular bassline is a Yamaha rbx350 with Precision Jazz pups played all the way through, the slap walking bass was a Yamaha trb4, with Amplitude 4 SVX - a Soundtoys Microshift, a Waves Fairchild 670, and an Elysia museq mix EQ.

(From memory...) For completeness the Rhodes is a Lounge Lizard VST, the Drums were BFD3 (Sorry my drumming just ain't as tight as it should be), Funky Guitar is a Custom Strat through Amplitude 4 - Fender Twin Reverb 65, Perc, strings and brass are MAGIX independence Pro. The George Benson thing is a Yamaha SG1000 mic'd to a Palmer fat 50 combo.

Master buss is bx Townhouse Compressor, Limiter Waves L3 - LL Multimaximiser, no EQ.

Again the toughest thing to get right was the bass EQ and compression, it's always a blimmin dog to get right.

Cluck Cluck

@SlavaB - Cheers man, I've always been a bit of a fan of Abe Laboriel...Glad you like it.

Really delivers on the funky title, the bass and guitars are really working.
Got a cracking guitar sound too. Gotta look again at Amplitude.

Totally enjoyed it, keep hopping across those genres!

Hey, this is great CPM!  Bootsy Collins / Parliament / Funkadellic eat your heart out.  Really authentic sound you've captured here, right down to the details like the slight drawl on the vocal delivery.  Of course, that big fat bassline is the absolute star.  Made me sprout an affro just listening to it.  Niiiiice work, you funky devil.
It's all too beautiful.

Now that got me chillin' It was far out groovy and way good too.
Funky as all get-out. I remember bands doing this stuff all night - like 8 peice bands coming up to the cold country from Detroit and the like.
Hehe - you nailed it CP man  ;D

Worth a listen just for that bass. Everything else is tidy and well produced, but my God, that bass.

Yes, very tidy piece of work.
Seemingly effortless.
Well done!
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

Hi CPM,

Pull up to the bumper baby, this takes me back,

That bassline is sick. If you played that then my hat is truly taken off to you sir.

Great funk feel,
Production wise, IMHO, a bit more sizzle on the lead vocal to help it cut through a little more, Oh and its Tight AF. But sounding really nice here.

Nice work dude.
Good listen.
