I think it'd be fun and interesting to review albums here.
Maybe have an extra sub category in the bar
I'd like to read reviews by some of the forum members of albums from established artists.

Would anyone else be interested?
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

This idea came to me when I discovered morrissey was releasing an album of covers.
I was a bit disappointed by the two tracks I've heard.
So I was wondering if I was missing something. Why is he doing this?
He might be leading the way. Has his light finally gone out.
He'll be cashing in his chips, that's for sure.

Good to hear.
I hope there will be more interested, it might be beneficial for everyone involved.
introducing new artists, defining valuable aspects of successful songwriting.
my suspicion is that the active musicians aren't all that interested in learning about the rare talent they haven't already heard about.

Let's hope it takes off anyway!

I don't know. I mean, who's got the time to listen to an entire album? - and wouldn't you have to buy it first?  :D :D
I've only bought 2 albums in the last year and they were both forum members.
There's a thought - a site where forum members' albums are featured and reviewed!  ;D

Well yes, you've a good point here. It is quite rare I listen to a whole album.
I remember the times, in the 80s I'd read about albums right on their release.
Something surreal offering like princes "lovesexy". By golly, that was quite a trip.

I miss the days when music was less work, n less isolating.

I think its a good idea. I still listen to albums, 3 or 4 times a week, sometimes more, sometimes les.

If you haven't bought it and its on Spotify you can listen for free. Although you have to put up with the ads or find away around them that works for you. Youtube sometimes have whole albums posted.

I think this is A good idea, and if nothing else might encourage forum members to compile albums, if like @Paulski  says it’s only for us folk, we can listen and review other pros stuff any day of the week...I ve heard strings of songs by artist here that would sell very well indeed, given the right marketing.

I watch with interest when a forum
Member releases an album..just hope they make a mint, and get recognised.

Well cowparsleyman, I'd be interested in any suggested album from you. You seem to know your stuff.
