Serious stuff Kev! Love the screen you view through the vocal booth, presumably for lyrics...inventive.

What a great looking setup Shadow. Awesome!!!!

I'm envious of that vocal booth. I simply don't have the space for it at home so early on I scrapped that thought, but I do miss working in one. Someday...

Looks really professional!!! Inspiring!  :D :D :D

Dayme that's nice Kev, cool setups all round tbf. Most jealous of The S so far though!

For some reason I never felt comfortable in my bedroom and after like 2 years of sleeping on the sofa decided to just ditch the bed and use the room as a studio.

Had plenty of good jams in there, but apart from a couple (marching band, something beautiful) still do most of recording slouched on the sofa. Something about the room just leaves me agitated, even when tidied :)

Looked a lot better when I first did it

Fascinating thread and an interesting insight into how all you guys work. I'm a bit basic compared to a few of you guys and don't really intend to change that  :)

And you don't need to John, it's not about the setup, it's about the creativity..

Supercool Kevin. That Portaloo must come in handy....don't know about having a window in it though!

Take it easy.

Really my recording env is my laptop and that is about it. I move from room to room to wherever I can work with a tiny audio interface.

I move the condenser to the kitchen when I need to do a vocal (it is the quietest place I can be for the neighbours). No tables, no extra screens, no prepared rooms.
I've done mixing on the commute, string arrangements on holiday.

A real troubadour producer :)

Tom, this makes me feel a whole lot better. Pity I can't get what you get but at least I know there's a chance....apart from you having a great voice and generally being a lot more capable than me in all areas!

My set up is also basic. Bet you've got a mic stand though. I bungee the mic to an artist's easel.

Good on yer @tboswell Just goes to show what can be achieved these days with the amazing technology available. Like you say, you can arrange and mix literally anywhere
