Well, I'm working at getting back to music a bit. I won't have the time I did before, but it's to the point where I can get a little time now and then. See, I used to have loads of time to work on music, because my husband did all the "real" work. Now he's had a stroke and can't do any for the time being, so I have to make up for all my lazy days in the past.
Anyway, three days before his stroke, I started on a new song. I had only gotten started on the words, and now I've lost the inspiration. I like what I have so far, though, so I'd like to get back on track. I am, therefore, posting what I have to see if anyone is struck with any helpful hints on getting back in the groove so I can finish this. Here's the chorus:
Stuff, I need stuff; I gotta have stuff.
I never, ever, ever, ever, ever get enough.
Soon as you're born the race begins
And the one who dies with most stuff wins.
I also started on a verse and have this much:
I get up and go to work; I get home and go to bed.
I get paid my wages, keep my fam'ly clothed and fed.
If you have any ideas for directions to go with the rest, please comment. Also, do you think this merits continued effort? And do you have any thoughts for a music style? And, of course, any suggestions for improvement for what I have so far would be welcome. Thanks a bunch in advance!
