Hi, Finally able to relax in my new studio and get something done...been a long time :)

https://soundcloud.com/knmac/you-got-everything-i-need-by-knmac

On a windy day I can hear, your voice,
In the darkest night there is nowhere to hide,
can't escape from you, in the end there is no choice,
I can only show what I feel inside.
when your love is gone there is nothing to show,
but the show goes on with nowhere to go.

come the wind come the rain you still think it's a game we play,
but you got everything i need,
It's for real it's the truth cannot live without you no more,
you got everything I need.

it's a lonely love that never knows the way,
so I threw the dice that put me in play

I will never know what you need from me,
not untill you find a way to set me free,
when the dice is thrown that's way, it will be yeah,
as the numbers roll for you and for me,

it's a lonely love that never knows the way,
so I threw the dice that put me in play,
as the numbers roll my fate, is cast to you,
now my world is in your hands, what will you do.

come the wind come the rain you still think it's a game we play,
but you got everything i need,
It's for real it's the truth cannot live without you no more,
you got everything I need.

Hey Kev, another great job by you mate! Highlights for me other than the melody, was the drums and the jangly guitars,(they especially were a lovely change in texture.😄👍🏻)

Only thing I noticed was that the very end hit could have been a bit tighter...tiny nit that though mate.😄🎶👊🏻🎶

Hi..ta for commenting, the drums are Jamstix with Charlie as the drummer..didn't tighten the end up because I thought it sounded a bit more..sorta, live..maybe..oh well.

best, Kevin

Kev,
New studio but still got your trademark sound loud and clear.
Although I actually think its a bit more nuanced with more space in the arrangement and dynamics.
Great rhythmic drive gives it a hypnotic feel when it kicks in at 55 secs.
Catchy
And the solo takes me back to the 80's and Icehouse who were rather fab imho :-)
Great to have you back
:-)

Hey, welcome back.  Looking forward to some wonders from your new studio.
This one bodes very well for the new set up...
Dug the reverbed spangly guitar sounds in the first verse in particular, then the way they contrast with the more industrial synth sounds that come in for the chorus, and the solo just goes feral, man... that's a wild guitar sound, in a very good way.  Nice sudden stop not long after it too, which is a big tick for me.  So a great track in entirety - pushing against the genre boundaries... immaculately produced but a little bit edgy and wild too.
It's all too beautiful.

It's really great to have you back on the forum Kev. I hope you're fully recovered after the accident. Love the contrast you have here between the jangly yet sparse verse and the hypnotic synth driven chorus. I really found the drum fills a big hook as well, you know the bit with the toms / snare fill. The solo was great,  reminded me of something Celtic, Big country kinda stuff. The production is superb as usual. I take it that you recorded this in The "Tardis" Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on how that has made a difference. Background noise is usually a problem as when I try and do vocals there is usually either a party going on / dogs barking/ somebody drilling a large hole / roof repair noise / wood sawing  ;D Great stuff Kev

You guy's.. :-[ thanks for the kind comments about the song..regarding the soundbooth, I've always had a soundbooth because of everything Pomps referred to, I just built them myself 8) having a ready made pro (and much more effective) booth is a big luxury and I need to thank my wife for that...

thanks again guy's.. :)

I love the intricate guitar playing that starts this and reappears later.

The meatier stuff later is slickly produced and in that respect couldn't be better. Topped off by an assured vocal with its own personality. I haven't heard much of your stuff, but I will listen out for more.

Crikey. I was forgetting how skillful you are.
Huge production. If you had nothing better to do you could teach it.
Awe inspiring arrangement.
Although this type of music is not for me. I've great respect for your acquired skills, wealth of raw talent and commitment.

Welcome back Shadowfax.
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

Don't eat the yellow snow

And there you have it.
